Frozen chocolate fruit slices with less than 50 calories each!
I would love to preserve the summer right now. I’m already starting to miss these wonderful summer days and evenings and I hope that we’ll be rewarded with a golden autumn… 🙏🏼🌞 To enjoy these last summer days to the full, here’s my current favourite recipe for hot summer days when you can’t get anything but fresh fruit down anyway. I have a special recipe for you that is incredibly delicious and healthy: frozen chocolate fruit slices!
These little delicacies are ideal for warm summer days when you fancy something sweet that is refreshing and slightly filling. The best thing about them? You only need a few simple ingredients and a little patience when freezing them. Did I mention that they literally melt in your mouth? 🤤 So, here we go! 🚀
Servings: 15 slices
- 3 bananas fresh or frozen
- 35 g cocoa powder hundert pro Dein Kakao
- 2 figs
- 100 g grapes
- 50 g raspberries
- 50 g redcurrant
- 1 prickly pear optional
- 1 tsp tahini
- some fleur de sel optional
-
Prepare the fruit: Cut the fig and prickly pear into thin slices. Arrange them with the grapes, redcurrants and raspberries in a small baking tin.
-
Prepare the chocolate mixture: Place the (frozen) bananas in a blender together with the cocoa powder. Blend everything until you have a smooth, creamy mixture.
-
Combine: Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the prepared fruit in the baking tin lined with baking paper. Spread a teaspoon of tahini and some fleur de sel evenly on top.
-
Freeze: Place the mould in the freezer for about 3-4 hours until the mixture has completely solidified.
-
Serve: Carefully remove the firm mixture from the baking tin with the baking paper. Cut it into 15 even pieces and as always: Enjoy to the fully fullest! 🤤

Why are these chocolate fruit slices so healthy?
As you can see, the recipe is really child’s play: all you have to do is line the baking tin with baking paper, put the fruit in, mash the bananas with cocoa powder, pour over the top, add tahini and salt and pop it in the freezer. Really, nothing should go wrong. Of course, you can also use your favourite fruit or whatever you have at home! Whether the bananas are already frozen or not is not decisive. But it can shorten the time in the freezer a little if you are very impatient 😉
As you can see, the chocolate fruit slices are not only super easy to make yourself, but they are also really healthy:
- Sugar-free: Thanks to the natural sweetness of the bananas and fruit, the recipe doesn’t contain any added sugar.
- Vegan: All ingredients are plant-based, so the slices fit perfectly into a vegan diet.
- Low in calories: With less than 50 calories per slice, you can enjoy them without feeling guilty at all.
- Cocoa: The “hundert pro” cocoa powder from Dein Kakao (self-promotion 🥰) is rich in antioxidants, magnesium and iron. It lifts your mood and gives you a little energy boost. Alternatively, you can use any of our other varieties, which will also give you a different flavour!
- Fruit: Bananas provide valuable potassium and fibre, while currants and raspberries are full of vitamin C and antioxidants. Figs and prickly pears add an exotic flavour and are good for your digestion and metabolism.
This snack is a perfect combination of sweetness, freshness and health – ideal for hot summer days and with less than 50 calories per piece, it’s anything but a sin! Enjoy, I’m sure you’ll love these frozen chocolate fruit slices as much as I do! 🤤
Yours, Rosa ❤️
